Hi! I’m Emily. But my friends call me Emmy.

And they also call me whenever they need meal inspo, dinner party ideas, and answers to any and all cooking-related questions. Whether it’s dreaming up new recipes, sourcing ingredients, or hosting healthy weekday cooking nights for my friends, I love pretty much anything to do with food. And nothing excites me more than turning an ordinary meal into the highlight of my day.

But finding time to cook hasn’t always been easy. I started my career in finance, and as a sales and trading analyst I had to be on the desk by 5:30 a.m. and stayed until 6:30 p.m. every day. These kinds of hours aren’t really conducive to a healthy lifestyle. I desperately wanted to cook, but didn’t have time to craft elaborate dinners.

So I began spending my weekends playing with different sauce and marinade flavor profiles, eventually building a formidable repertoire of recipes that I could make ahead of time and use to add excitement to otherwise basic dinners throughout the week. I was amazed by the way something as simple as a pesto could completely transform a meal.

I finally decided to leave the corporate world for good and launch Emmy Eats out of my kitchen in Tribeca, where I love to cook the most. My mission is to provide you with real, relatable, healthy recipes and the culinary inspiration you need to elevate every meal. I want everyone to experience my sauces and their magical ability to enhance even the mostly simply prepared ingredients.

Life’s too short to eat bad food. Stick with me, and pretty soon every one of your meals will be as fun, effortless, and—most importantly—delicious as it should be.
